International Wine Guild

As things on this site are beginning to gear up, I felt a discussion on tools one uses for their trade might be a decent topic to allow us to share knowledge, suggestions and comments through. Suggested magazines, sites, sources of news, etc.

For one, a fellow Guild member suggested that I try out http://www.cellartracker.com as an online tool for tracking bottles I have in my storage, drinkability windows, tasting notes, etc. It's a fairly decent and easy to use tool. The current interface as of the date of this posting will be vastly updated by the owner of the application (a former Microsoft employee that has dedicated his full time to the site/tool).

I hope you find it useful as I have. My ID on cellartracker is Emittim3.

What magazines, news sites, internet sites, software tools, physical tools, methods, etc. do you use in your trade to keep your skills sharp and knowledge up to date?

Cheers!

I use WinePad on my iPhone as a quick way to take notes on a wine when I'm out. It allows you to rate the wine, take a picture, and add almost any notes you want to. It's very handy when you just want to put down a quick impression.
